OVERVIEW
The EXPO 2012 Yeosu ended its 93-day run on August 12, 2012. It held diverse exhibitions and many cultural events on the theme of “Living Ocean and Coast” and attracted more than 8 million visitors. Even after its end, the international community has been continued to seek sustainable development of the seas and oceans.Hyundai Motor Group, the official global partner of the event, opened a pavilion and successfully shared Hyundai’s eco-friendly and resources-cycling management strategy.
MARKETING ACTIVITIES
Hyundai Motor Group is an official Global Partner of the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea. The Expo ran for three months
from May 12 and attracted more than 8 million visitors.
Hyundai Motor Group is an official Global Partner of the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea which was open to the public on May 12, and ran for three months.The Hyundai pavilion was the largest pavilion set up by a single company. Created under the slogan of “A journey together for a better future”, the exhibition's splendidly designed to share Hyundai’s vision of creating a resource circulating business structure green business structure for a better future for humanity.
A large LED screen panel (media-façade) located on the front side of the pavilion displayed graphics and videos on how Hyundai was providing a variety of products from steel to automobiles and construction services for the benefit of society.
The visitors could see videos which show the passionate effort Hyundai made to bring the EXPO to Yeosu and the social contributions made by the Mong-koo Chung Foundation. Mock-ups of 34 Hyundai vehicles models were displayed on the wall, allowing visitors to witness the history and footsteps of Hyundai at a glance.

Hyundai Motor Group invited 1,000 underprivileged children to the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.
With the intention of offering chances to experience and learn for more children, Hyundai hosted the event with the Green Umbrella Child Fund and the Dream Together Mentoring Campaign.
The event was programmed for children to enjoy the EXPO and grow up as matured global talents. They learned marine life and its importance and shared visions of the ocean industry.

Hyundai’s environmentally friendly vehicles were driven for the committee of the organizing committee and the performance groups.
The 51 eco-friendly vehicles which contributed the event’s success covered Tucson, Mohave FCEV, Ray EV, Blue-On, fuel cell bus, and CNG hybrid bus.
Wireless tram and Bi-Modal Tram are worthy of notice for their environmentally friendly and economical features.

The Bi-Modal Tram which free-serviced during the EXPO is a green vehicle. It largely reduced air pollution emission and environmental noises by using CNG (Compressed National Gas) and battery as main power. Automatic vehicle guidance system allows it follow a route.
Bi-Modal Tram moves 11.2 kilometers back and forth from Yeosu EXPO station to Yi Sunsin square. It also stops at the EXPO’s main gate, Entrance of Odongdo island, Marine Park, and the Yi Sunsin Square.
It seems to be a specialty of Yeosu which connects its tourist spots and convenience facilities.
